The Celtic boss stated he did not fear losing his job, asserting, “We are extremely close to a turnaround,” despite edging perilously close to being fired with a heavy loss to their arch-rivals.

“The performance we had at stages was of top quality. That is a fact. And I would not talk like that if it was untrue. That is the reason, in terms of results, I mentioned this is the same story. For that reason I feel we are really close to getting it right. Currently: small things.”

“There were a lot of encouraging signs that we did, as was the case today. The issue now it’s about performing for 90 minutes. My outlook would change if I didn't believe it. This is why I am convinced the team can to get back on track.”

Opposition Reaction Outlook

The victorious boss played down talk of a title charge even after what felt like a huge result. “Step by step, and we can gradually build something here,” he said. “The faith in the team is excellent.”
