Football Analyst Chris Sutton Faces Off Against Artist Murs in Premier League Forecasts

The Gunners' 10-game winning run was ended by Sunderland prior to the international hiatus, but can the English top division frontrunners recover against north London rivals Spurs this Sunday?

"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this game," stated football specialist Chris Sutton.

"Frank will attempt to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling best this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still find a way to win."

The analyst is making predictions for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, versus AI, fans and a range of guests.

For the twelfth round, he faces singer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.

Murs' new record, the new release, is out on the weekend.

Soccer and Family Experiences

Murs is a talented footballer as well as a successful singer and has been a featured player of several charity football games down the years - but he is not intending a serious return as a footballer.

"{I recently played in a charity game the other night for a mate of mine," he said. "The side was trailing 3-1 when I came off in the second half, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you will!

"I continue to love football, but I hurt my joint a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the uncertainty of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my career to do it properly again.

"Plus I am forty-one now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my daughter or son chooses to play instead."

The singer and his spouse his partner have two children, Madison and Albert, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their manager.

"I will not push football on our children but I've already told Amelia that if they happen to get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will probably be managing their Saturday soccer team," he added.

"I watched my relatives play a lot, and I really got into it, and I clearly was involved with a football club for a while too.

"My dad coached with us when I was a kid, which is probably where I inherited it. He managed our side for two or three seasons and had great fun with it. That could be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Premier League Forecasts

Saturday, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea might have to be patient for their star's return from fitness issues but their offense is now more potent with Pedro and Liam Delap both back fit.

I still think this game will be quite close, however. Burnley are disciplined and their only at Turf Moor defeats so far have been against the Reds and Arsenal.

It suggests a one-all draw to me, but I am actually going to choose the London side to edge it for what would be their third league win in a row.

Sutton's forecast: 1-2

Olly's prediction: Chelsea will be superior. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have been defeated in their past two games - although both of them were on the road - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which surprised me.

In contrast, the Hammers secured back-to-back victories before the hiatus and, although both of those fixtures were at their stadium, they appear competitive again.

The Hammers' sole on the road win this season came at Forest in August, when West Ham boss Nuno was still Forest manager.

So, what exactly do I predict here - will it be the Hammers extending their run under their manager, or the home side responding?

I am going to go with Bournemouth, because I think what occurred against Aston Villa was a blip.

The pundit's prediction: 2-0

The guest's prediction: The home team are doing well but West Ham have improved under their boss. 2-2

AI's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were seen as one of the favourites for relegation before the season started, but they have surprised a several observers under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three wins in their last four games.

My son told me to select Bees striker Thiago in my Fantasy Football team a few weeks back and, unfortunately, I didn't listen.

Thiago will probably find the net again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to select him or back the away side at Brighton's ground.

The Bees have not had great fortune on the road this term, and the Seagulls are always strong at their stadium. Brentford will try to hit them on the counter-attack but I feel Fabian Hurzeler's team carry much more of a threat.

The analyst's forecast: 2-1

The singer's view: It could be one of those games where you expect there is going to be a many scores but it in reality proves to be rather tight. 1-1

AI's prediction: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a huge fixture for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six games.

Fulham have have lots of talent in their team but it still feels like they could be dragged into a relegation battle.

As for the Black Cats, well they are the unexpected success of the Premier League campaign so far.

The away side's display in the two-all tie with the Gunners last time out was superb. We've not witnessed any other team disrupt the Gunners like that this term, and they were fully competitive for them.

The sensible thing would be to support the visitors here, because they are obviously capable of disrupting the hosts up too and, the last time they were in west London, they beat Chelsea at the end of last month.

However I am not choose that. Instead, I really need to carry on going against the away team with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of credit for their good results because they evidently love to defy my predictions.

Looking at Fulham's home record, the only side they have been defeated by is Arsenal. Their manager's team will be absolutely desperate for a positive outcome, so I am going to say they will pick up three points.

Sutton's forecast: 1-0

Olly's choice: I know the visitors are performing strongly and also that Fulham are on a poor streak... but they have nonetheless been decent at home this season. 2-0

The algorithm's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a hard fixture to predict. Liverpool have suffered seven of their past 10 matches in all competitions, but might they be one of the teams who benefit from the {international break|
